Responsibilities:
Responsible for day to day problem analysis, change implementation, performance analysis, performance tuning and system admin.
Strong experience with AIX, LINUX and UNIX shell scripting-Experience administering a highly available, multi-server environment on a production support capacity.
Experience with App Server, Process Schedulers, Change Assistant, App Designer, and Data Mover, Network Appliance Server.
Upgrade, application server administration, monitoring and tuning production tester performance.
Previous experience in the role of technical upgrade specialist on upgrade projects to HCM 9.0. Understanding of data structure changes between application releases and impact to application functionality
Proven experience as a technical lead in large and complex upgrade projects-Experience directing, leading, managing and mentoring techncial staff. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervsion both independently and as part of a team-Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills-Experience working wiht Solaris 10 and Linux OS.
Conduct UNIX system administrator training for IT/MIS team.
Shell programming and troubleshooting and experience with shell scripting languages
Knowledge of the following Filer server is a plus; Network Appliance
Knowledge of the following technologies a plus; CIFS, NAS, SAN, RAID, NFS, ZFS, Clustering, DNS, LDAP
Responsibilities include server management, file system management, database management, backup and recovery, performance analysis and tuning, availability management, application administration, product installations and upgrades, security management, customer communications, and end-user assistance. Participate in establishing configuration, tuning and management standards. Supported environments include UNIX, Windows and SQL.
Requirements:
Diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Computer Engineering or Electronics Communication Engineering; supplemented with one or more courses in current technology. Certification is CISCO and HP Network Switches is an advantage.
Considerable 7 years and current experience as an UNIX Administrator on a medium or large sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies.
This position will require working at night time, weekends and flexible shifts, with the primary goal of completing tasks outside fo customer business hours.
Applicants who have demonstrated experience with hardware migrations, platform conversions, and product upgrades will be strongly considered.
