(DY)UNIX Engineer / Administrator - Singapore

Remotely manage content distribution platform - including troubleshooting and analysis, fault resolution, configuration management, change management and performance management.
Provide Tier 2 troubleshooting/ identification and resolution for application and hardware issues.
Resolve complex problems quickly and methodically in a fast paced atmosphere;
Work independently and as a functional part of a team;
Communicate effectively and courteously with management, support teams, and customers;
Handle multiple tasks while prioritizing effectively; and maintain professionalism and composure while encountering difficult situations.
Execute by follow predefined Methods & Procedures as well as job aides based on alarm text in the auto-generated tickets.
Perform managing and troubleshooting servers and applications and networking devices, verifying utility outputs, and installing patches and software upgrades.
This highly visible position demands strong technical professionals to liase directly with external clients, 3rd party vendors, and internal/external technical teams.
The job requires strong technical skills that cross multiple functions including applications, servers and operating systems and tools and networking.

Requirements:
Strong in UNIX AIX skillset with 3 years experience in System admin functions of Windows, Red Hat Linux and Sun Solaris operating Systems.
Possess strong technical skill in Linux/Unix/Windows platform expertise along with associated applications such as Apache, Squid, IIS, Tomcat, Weblogic,Flash, Windows, Real Media server products.
Industry experience with content distribution networks is preferred.
Familiarity with Windows Servers hardware, Cluster, VMware, Storage, Sun Servers, HP, Dell and IBM Blade Servers.
Familiarity with Application softwares - Weblogic, Apache, IIS and operating systems (including Windows, UNIX, Linux, Basic Networking).
Familiarity with broad spectrum of communications equipment Switches, Cisco routers and switches.
Experience managing a ticket queue particularly Remedy system
Candidate Flexible to work 12 hours rotating shift
Flexible to take up Shift Rotation work
