Head/VP/Director of Information Technology - Asia Pacific Operations - China

Lead the information technology function in the Asia Pacific region.
- Engage and partner with corporate and regional leadership to deliver solutions that enhance the business.
- Proactively develop approaches and strategies to meet the challenges of growth and efficiency in the region.
- Challenge the status quo.
- Proactively communicate progress and issues with corporate and regional management.
- Oversee the execution of an APO IT strategy aligned with corporate and divisional strategies for technology infrastructure, information systems architecture and the IT organization.
- Serve as a member of the global IT leadership team.

Manage the IT investment
- Ensure timely, cost effective, reliable delivery of IT services and projects.
- Go to locations to directly understand progress and problems.
- Ensure funding and control disbursement of financial resources.
- Manage vendor/supplier contracts and relationships.
- Measure IT performance

Manage human resources
- Optimize the organizational design of the regional IT function
- Assess, develop and upgrade talent to increase the organizational capability and value of IT.
- Develop and maintain a motivated and competent workforce.

Manage IT governance, risk, and controls
- Ensure compliance with internal controls requirements: risk assessment, controls design and monitoring.
- Meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate activity with Corporate and Division IT leadership and follow the company technology, application and practice standards.
- Responsible for the accomplishment of all the mandatory internal procedures and regulations established, especially those in relation to Health, Safety and Environment, Confidentiality and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

Requirements:
- MBA/Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field.
- At least 10 - 15 year(s) of working experience with at least 5 years in a Senior IT role.
- Significant experience with global manufacturing companies. Experience in a Automotive companies will be an advantage.
- Experience in leading and working on teams across countries and cultures.
- Experience working in a matrix organization environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Clear, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively, persuasively and with appropriate conviction present views to division and headquarters management.
- Represents the company with customers and suppliers when required.
- Strong teamwork, leadership and influencing skills.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Driven to meet and exceed “customer” expectations.
- Highly self motivated to provide leadership and guidance to the Asia IT staff.
- Coaching and staff development skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills·
