Responsibilities: Provide skilled analysis of existing information systems (paper and computer based), identify capabilities and requirements, and design innovative data information systems. Construct flowcharts and diagrams to describe the logical operational steps needed to achieve system goals. Interpret, organize, and translate user requirements into functional, performance, and interface requirements suitable for the development and integration of automated data information system solutions.
Formulate systems that achieve overall health objectives. Evaluate current health information management systems with an eye towards identifying problems and shortcomings which can be addressed by information technology systems/solutions.
Work closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
Work closely with other functional areas (PMU, NGO Partners, clients, public health experts, technical specialists, the URBAN PHC EXPERT and other project personnel) to develop system concepts and define requirement specifications.
Develop, document, and revise system design procedures. Create logical and innovative solutions to complex problems.
Work with the HMIS Firm to develop personnel data banking system, staff performance appraisal system, logistics inventory, financial management information system.
Requirements: Masters degree in IT, management, engineering, or other suitable field.
Experience in development and design of data-based systems with multi-level system design of architecture and development of user- friendly, menu-driven systems, identification of data requirements for decision making, commodity logistics and inventory tracking, client services, records and results and web-site design and maintenance.
Experience in maintaining networks and linked systems and advising on selecting and procurement appropriate hardware and software for a management information system.
