Responsibilities:
The Senior Production Developer works within the Production Technology team under the direction of the Team Leader and is responsible for ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed on time and within specification. The Developer will need to be flexible and be able to understand and be effective dealing with multiple complex projects simultaneously. This person applies their database, SQL, and programming skills to manipulate and prepare data so that it can be used in a variety of applications. The Developer additionally contributes to the team by finding ways to simplify complex and repeatable tasks through the use of design, process change and programming. The Senior Production Developer is capable of handling the most complex production tasks with little or no assistance. Communication skills are very important to be successful as a Senior Production Developer; it is necessary to clearly identify and explain system intricacies to Quality Control, Project Coordinators and Project Managers.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree or preferably Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum of 4-6 years experience in designing and developing databases and database systems.
Experience with data analysis and data modeling.
MUST have experience with methodologies specifically for database design.
MUST have design experience with MS SQL Server 2000 and/or 2005.
MUST have experience with Visual Studio 2005.
MUST have an understanding of referential integrity and understand the use of indexes.
MUST have understanding of relational table and database design.
MUST be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision.
4-6 years experience writing SQL code for MS SQL Server with at least 2 years hands-on with MS SQL Server 2000.
4+ years of Visual Basic / Visual Studio 2005 experience.
Efficiency in troubleshooting code, configuration and/or performance.
