Database Administrator - Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

As an DBA to provide technical support, e.g. performance tuning, backup/recovery, upgrade/migration, patch analysis, patch application, cloning, etc.
Provide database development support to application development and data service.
Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Provide support and problem resolution.
Collaborate with other teams to create quicker issue resolution to achieve high customer satisfaction.
Answer escalation questions and provide consulting service for internal colleagues and external client where appropriate.
Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of all products and services offered by the Company.
On job training will be provided to train up be an Applications DBA.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of coding application is an advantage.

Requirements: Graduated in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
At least 2-year solid experience in Oracle database support (including performance tuning, installation, patching, upgrade, RAC, Data Guard etc) is a must.
Knowledge in server hardware, storage & OS (UNIX & Linux).
Experience in the support of Oracle 9i / 10g RAC in Solaris and Linux ASM environment and logical database design will be an advantage.
Knowledge in Applications development tools (such as Oracle Reports, Forms, PL/SQL, etc) is perferred.
Self-motivated and good problem solving skills.
Willing to learn and logical thinking.
Able to work independently and under pressure.
Good communication skills .
