Job Description Designs and supports As400 iseries Systems and Engineering including infrastructure solutions Performs Capacity planning and also systems performance analysis on routine basis Recommend infrastructure modifications to boost performance and meet systems needs Maintain all Data Centre equipment and communicate with suppliers/service providers and internal departments to fix any faults as per SLA. Manages disk storage, monitors and reports Maintains disk utilization and trends, recommends storage acquisitions to ensure utilization remains within acceptable limits. • Researches and recommends automated system solutions that are designed to enhance the iSeries environment and create efficiencies • Ensures that IBM and third party software are kept current. Researches and recommends packaging, testing and deployment of necessary software to ensure that all iSeries servers are secure, protected, and performing at the highest level of efficiency
